Citable for chrome from Owen Schoppe
The Citable tool was designed to help you create an extensive collection of quotes, notes, and other data points in a single place, so you can cite all of them in the future. It saves your quotes in your Google Drive, so they can be viewed and shared with your colleagues.
What is Citable?
Citable is a free tool for collecting quotes and notes from the web into Google spreadsheets. It is very easy to use and doesn't require any advanced knowledge of coding.
How to use Citable?
First, you need to have a Google account. Then, install the extension on your Chrome browser.
Select the text you want to save for reference, then click on the Citable extension icon. It automatically saves the page title, URL, and date.
The tags you can use are: quotation, footnote, source, and reference.
There are a lot of other tags and types of cells you can add as well, but you can add them in the edit menu.
You can export your notes in different formats, including APA, MLA and Chicago.
